My Story
Born and raised in Spain, I am the first person in my family to have studied abroad. When I set my sights on the University of Oxford, I had no roadmap, no idea of what they look for in a student or what happens during an interview. While I was writing my personal statement, Oxford seemed so distant that it didn't even feel like a real place.
Three years later, I graduated from St Hugh's College, University of Oxford with a first-class degree in Archaeology & Anthropology, and with the best performance award in my cohort. What followed was a masters degree and then a fully funded PhD at Oxford, academic publications in international journals, and fieldwork in archaeological sites around the world. After being shortlisted for a role as an associate professor in Oxford while still a second-year doctoral student, I was awarded a highly competitive three-year research fellowship at Emmanuel College, University of Cambridge.
"Over the course of six years, I conducted more than 100 admissions interviews at Oxford and Cambridge. I developed a first-hand understanding of what separates a good application from a transformative one."
I was clearly on the path to a distinguished research career. Yet the moments I found most meaningful were the tutorials and supervisions. During these teaching sessions, I always felt fulfilled knowing that I was playing a part in a student's intellectual journey, seeing sparks of inspiration and their motivation to keep learning.
That realisation led me to start my own educational company. I now offer bespoke mentorship for bright students applying to the world's leading universities. This is the support I wish had existed for my younger self. My goal is to help you arrive at university already thinking like the scholar you're capable of becoming: curious, rigorous, and ready to make the most of what are some of the most formative years of your life.
